Who is Julian?
[TEST] I have travelled Japan and South-East Asia since 2012 and have worked as a travel specialist since 2018. In that time I have put together more than eighty tailor-made trips, from short city breaks to four-week tours. My strength lies in small-scale trips with local guides, off the beaten track.

Fondest memory
[TEST] A night in a shukubo, a temple lodging on Mount Koya. At half past five in the morning the monk slid open the door for morning prayer, mist lay between the cedars outside, and for an hour nothing was said. Ever since, I build a day with no programme into every trip.
